These are authentic arrow points that have survived thousands of years under the ground until they were excavated from a Middle-Eastern battlefield, where Greece used it in forging its historic "Golden Age” (Circa 500 BC-300 BC). Imagine...this point may have launched a surprise attack, turned the tide of a battle, or slain a king.
An informational scroll will accompany your genuine trilobate bronze arrow point, highlighting historical details like: "Bowmen with these tough, new, three-bladed points could penetrate armour and hit ten advancing targets in less than a minute, starting at well beyond 1000 feet." and "Local blacksmiths varied these points with hard-to-remove "barbs" and “poison pockets" (for use vs elephants, war horses, and enemy commanders)."
This artifact has a centuries-old patina, except where the blades were sharpened, true to ancient practice, exposing shiny bronze.
The point is mounted onto a length of museum-quality reproduction arrow shaft, which is set in a double-pedestal stand made of choice hardwoods. This stand was stained and coated with polyurethane, and has an engraved descriptive plaque affixed. The base is three inches on each side, and the entire display approaches 10 inches in height. The length of the actual points range from about ¾ inch to close to 2 inches. Widths range from about ¼ - ½ inch.
The points shown in the attached photos serve only as examples of the type of specimen you may receive. You can be assured that the one you receive will be of high quality, but no particular feature or style can be promised.
